As a strategic communications graduate student at UNT's Mayborn School of Journalism, I learned how to write comprehensive communications plans for a variety of different industries, including a telecommunications company specializing in network technology. I also analyzed the social media practices of the American Heart Association and was able to put some of my recommendations into practice during my internship with AHA. My best project was for a major financial institution, but I cannot post my work or list that company at this time due to a non-disclosure agreement.
The following are regional and national pitches I wrote while interning with Tucker & Associates PR during the Spring 2013 semester. There are lots of other materials, media lists and research that I worked on but most of that is proprietary information that cannot be shared.
Pitch - Eraclea Skin Care - Relief from the burning cold of winter
Pitch - New Mexico Tourism Board - Southwest Chocolate & Coffee Festival
Pitch - New Mexico Tourism Board - Internacional Flamenco Festival de Albuquerque
Pitch - New Mexico Tourism Board - Gallup NM, A Hidden Gem for Cyclists and Adventure Travelers
Pitch - New Mexico Tourism Board - The 92nd Santa Fe Indian Market draws huge crowds

The following documents are materials I wrote for the Dallas Division of the American Heart Association during my internship as the Communications Assistant from Aug. 2011 - June 2012. All press materials were pitched by me and submitted to local media outlets. I also assisted with social media management and posting, including participating on behalf of AHA Dallas in a live Twitter chat Q&A session with a cardiac surgeon and creating a Pinterest page for the Dallas chapter.
